The holiday of Thanksfiving has it's roots deeply embedded in the culture of Facebook status updating.
Legend has it that the originator of this holiday was updating his Facebook status on the Thursday of the week preceding Thanksgiving. He accidentally mistyped the word "Thanksgiving" as "Thanksfiving". He then thought to himself, "Self, wouldn't it be awesome if we had a national holiday dedicated to high-fiving each other? We could call it Thanksfiving Day, and hold it on the Thursday, one week before Thanksgiving."
And so, the holiday began.
